The client is to complete the Trust application form (Completed and signed by the authorised individual).
Opening a trust account under an investment manager requires the following documentation:
- Power of Attorney (Signed by the authorised individual and a signatory of the investment manager).
- Cover Letter indicating brokerage profile, money manager fee and house structure (if relevant).
Supporting Documentation for South African trusts (whether the account is being opened under an investment manager or directly as a retail client)
- Trust Deed/testamentary will. Latest letter of Authority from Master of the High Court.
- South African Identity Document/card (both pages/sides) for all Trustees, Named Beneficiaries as well as the Founder and Donor – All non-South African, copy of passport.
- Utility bill as proof of residence for all Trustees, Named Beneficiaries, as well as the Founder/Donor (dated in the last three months)
- Proof of Banking Details in the name of the Applicant
